PAPATOETOE PRESENTATION.

METHODIST: CHURCH ORGANIST.

A presentation was made in the Papatoetoe Methodist Church last evening to Mr. Reg. Firth, who was the guest at a social gathering arranged by the church and choir members. Mr. Firth was presented by the Rev. F. R. Greenwood, on behalf of the trustees and congregation, with a chiming clock in a handsome antique oak caee. An electric reading lamp and vase were presented by Mr. John Sanderson, on beha'lf of the choir, in appreciation of Mr. Firth's services as organist for the church for a number of years. Thanks were returned by Mr. Firth. During the' evening vocal items were given by Misses Winnie and Louie Reid, duet; . Miss L. Reid, solo; and Mr. Clifford Firth, solo. Mies Mabel Bryant contributed.; several elocutionary items. At the conclusion of the programme of entertainment supper was provided. The good wishes of Ihose present were extended to Miss W. Reid and Mr. Firth, on the eve of their approaching marriage.
