GOLF.
DOMINION TOURNEY. BEFORE THE CHAMPIONSHIPS SHAW IN FINE FORM. , (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WAMGANUI, this day. The Belmont course is in wonderful order for the opening of the New Zealand championships on Friday, The fairways are good and the greens perfectly I true. All the leading competitors have arrived, and have been playing to-day and yesterday. At present those most fancied in the open are Sloan Morpeth, Moss and Shaw. Morpeth's golf has been rather patchy, but will improve on the day. Moss is playing steadily, and went round in 73 yesterday. Shaw is in great form as his round of 70 yesterday morning will show. He is hitting a wonderful tee shot, and the rest of his game is sound. There were several showers yesterday, but the weather again looks settled at the time of writing.
