THE DAIRY INDUSTRY.
BRITISH CHEESE STORAGE. SATISFACTION WITH CONDITIONS. WELLINGTON, Wednesday. At a meeting of the Dairy Produce Board a cablegram was received from Lbndon stating that Mr. W. M. Singleton, director of the dairy division of the Department of Agriculture, who had now left London, had made an exhaustive examination of the cheese stores. He had expressed satisfaction with the conditions ruling. Cabled advice was also received that satisfactory storage contracts had been negotiated at Bristol. The actual sales of butter samples for the financial year ended on July 31 were 235,828, compared with 100,189 last year.
