BRIDE IN FIVE-FOLD SMASH.
CHAOTIC ORDEAL ON THE ROAD.
A bride being driven to town by her newly-wedded husband had the rare and exciting experience recently of having the first hours of her married life involved in a five-fold motor smash. Three private cars and a laden omnibus were standing by the roadside on the Rickmansworth and Chorley Wood main road, England, when a steam wagon approached. Another bus being driven towards it was unable to clear both the wagon and the cars, and ran into the rear one. This latter was driven into another car, which in turn crashed into the back of the omnibus. Having just begun to start forward, the bus was forced upon tbe car in front of it, the result being a complete medley. Fortunately nobody was seriously injured, though, several suffered severe shock. The bride's car was practically ruined, and the bride herself was treated in a neighbouring house, the, journey having to be abandoned. Some time was occupied in clearing the mixed-up vehicles.
