Stevenson, an employee of tlio Public Works Department. He was lighting a heating stove in an office, and by mistake used benzine instead of kerosene. He was thrown some distance across the office, and was immediately enveloped in flames. By the time other employees could ■hell), practically all his clothing had been burned from his body. He was taken to the Warkworth Cottage Hospital, and died about midday. Mr. Stevenson was about 3.j years of age, and was thought to have been a single man. The contents of the office were badly damaged before the flames were put out.
