TAUPO TROUT PROSPECTS.

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WANGANUI, this day. Constable McMullan, of Taupo, who is on holiday in Wanganui, stater, that the fishing at Taupo will be particularly good this year. Last year the fish spawned late, but this year they spawned six weeks or two months earlier. A ranger- tool: fish recently for the purpose of tagging, and they were in excellent condition.

Constable McMullan is an expert fisherman himself, and he has cabled to a friend in England, another enthusiast angler, to come out this season.
