Two bandits, wearing masks, bailed up John Eddington, assistant accountant of the Norco Co-opevative, Limited, In the city. After binding him to a chair they took the keys from Mr. Eddington's pocket, opened the safe and stole £925.
Mr. Eddington was working late and was alone when the robbers made their appearance. They presented a revolver and ordered him to sit in a chair. They then tied him hand and foot, rifled the safe and made a getaway.
Mr. Eddington struggled free and telephoned the police. Cheques to the value of £3000 were overlooked in another drawer.
