HAURAKI PLAINS.
Delegates from the Hanraki Plains County Council and the WaitakaruruPipiroa Ratepayers' Association met representatives of the Public Works Department yesterday, and urged the erection of a bridge over the Piako River, at Pipiroa, to replace the ferry service. The Departmental officials promised to convey the representations of the settlers to the proper authorities.
