DUNEDIX FEAES OMISSION,

(By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.* DUXEDIN, Tuesday. The Dunedin Chamber of Commerce received advice to-day from Mr. W. J. Miiui'O, M.P., that the Industries Committee of the House of Representatives was considering the itinerary of the Maui Pomare, and that Dunedin was likely to be cut out as a port of call. Tlie executive held a meeting with representatives of the fruit trade and the Otago Expansion League, and it was decided to telegraph to the Prime Minister and the Dunedin members of Parliament emphatically protesting- against* any such step. It was also decided to ask the Prime Minister that the decision be withheld until a delegation from Dunedin had been given the opportunity of tendering evidence before the committee.
