The Best and Brightest Photographs. A special treat is provided readers of the "N.Z. Sporting and Dramatic Review" in the current week's issue, with the latest topical happenings illustrated in the magnificent manner .that marks every issue of this popular paper. The colour section, printed by the Offset method, has a snappy beach study as a frontispiece, a page of sports fashions, and lovely studies of the Duchess of York and Norma Talmadge. The centre pages have some very attractive views of overseas functions, the Queen's garden party, the England v. South Africa cricket Test, the great Scout Jamboree, and Goodwood racecourse. Nearer home we. have .an excellent series of .photographs of the Pakuranga Hunt Club's final meet of the season, and the Avondale Jockey Club's spring meeting occupies two pages of thrilling racing incidents. Stage and screen pages display some choice photographs that M'ill make an instant appeal. An enchanting scene on the lake in Regent's Park, London, makes a very picturesque page, and lovers of England will be delighted with the wonderful photographs of Canterbury Cathedral from the air, and the Pool of London. Some of the other photographs appearing are: Davis tennis contest in Berlin, greyhound racing, the Irish International Grand Prix motor race, American tennis championships, the Graf Zeppelin, tho Antarctic ship Discovery, etc. The "Review" is on sale at. all booksellers and stationers.— (Ad.)
