SECRETARIES MEET.
AUSTRALASIAN INSTITUTE. At the annual meeting of the New Zealand branch of the Australasian Institute of Secretaries yesterday, Mr. G. O'Halloran, the retiring president, said that the membership roll in New Zealand totalled 150, and that while the condition of the institute's finance everywhere was satisfactory, the position in the Dominion was especially so. It was stated that the biennial conference of the institution would be held in Auckland • from November 18 to November 22. Every State in Australia would be represented. Officers were elected as follows: —Mr. G. W. Hutchison, president of the branch for the ensuing year; Mr. A. E. Bollard and Mr. J. A. Duncan, vice-presidents; and Mr. T. E. White, treasurer.
