The shooting of that pheasant in Remuera has serious as well as humorous aspects T know, of course, that the man broke the law but what a law! You mustn't shoot a pheasant in a city suburb. Why? I s it g U „ gested that during the season the elite of Remuera go out shooting pheasants on Sat Ur clay or Sunday afternoons ? And if there is ho shooting why preserve the birds so carefully? Or are the pheasants valued because they are ornamental? If this is so, why not import peacocks? They would be much more picturesque and less destructive. ANTI-GAME LAWS..
