SHIPPING NEWS.

MAHENO IN PORT. AORANGI SAILED. The only overseas vessel which arrived in Auckland to-day was the Maheno, with passengers, mails* and cargo from Departures Ihis morning included the R.M.m.s. Aorangi, for Vancouver, and the Southern Cross for the New Hebrides The Maui Pomare is announced to sail for Nine and Samoa at 3 p.m. to-day, but the departure of the cable steamer Iris has been postponed to to-morrow morning. The Northumberland, for London and West of England ports, is to sail at "lavbreak to-morrow. From London, via Wellington, the Tamaroa is due at Auckland to-morrow morning. No radio has yet been rereived from the Canadian Cruiser or the Colden Cloud, both of which are due at Auckland shortly from Montreal and Los Angeles respectively.

In continuation of her voyage from Sydney, the Union Co.'s R.M.m.s. Aorangi sailed this morning for Suva, Honolulu and Vancouver. She is due at Vancouver on October EASTERN CARGO. . From Calcutta, via Sydney, the Union Co.'s chartered steamer Ganmria is due at Wellington to-morrow to complete discharge of her Eastern Cargo. CITY OF DALHERT. The New Zealand Shipping Co. advises that the A. and A. Line's chartered motor ship City of Dalhert is to be dispatched from* New York on October 5 for Wellington and Australian ports. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The following vessels are expected to be within range of the Auckland wireless station to-night'—Aorangi, Golden Cloud. Hororata, Iris, Kaiapoi, Kalranga, Maui Pomare, Mocraki. With passengers, mails and cargo from Sydney,, the Union Co.'s steamer Maheno arrived at Auckland this morning and berthed at the Prince's wharf. She is to sail again at 11 a.m. on Friday. Also from Sydney, the Makura arrived at Wellington this morning, and is to sail on her return voyage on Thursday next.

The Richardson steamer Pukeko sailed j yesterday afternoon for Napier and Wairoa. ( The steamer Lady Lewis has been char-j tered to load sugar at Cuba lor Auckland. Now loading at the Central wharf, the | Federal steamer Northumberland is to' sail for London and West of England ports | at daybreak to-morrow. Spedding, Ltd., announce the Government motor ship Maui Pomare to sail for Niue and Samoa at 3 p.m. to-day. From Samoa she is to return to Auckland, via Lyttelton and Wellington. Her overhaul completed, H.M.s. Diomede undocked this morning and berthed alongside H.M.s. Dunedin at Devonport. On Friday she is to shift to the Central wharf, where she will remain until her departure for England on October 1. The departure of the cable steamer Iris for Norfolk Island has been postponed to 10 a.m. to-morrow. She is loading cable to renew the shore end of the Suva-Nor-folk Island cable at Anson Bay. The Union Co.'s intercolonial passenger steamer Manuka is to leave Wellington at 3 p.m. to-day for Lyttelton, Dunedin, Bluff and Melbourne. She is scheduled to clear Bluff on Saturday, arriving at Melbourne on October 3. The Canadian National steamer Canadian Conqueror, which was dispatched from Auckland on August 13 for New York, Boston and Montreal, is reported to have arrived at New York last Monday. In place of the Tregonell, which has been diverted to Nauru Island, the steamer Dorington Court has been chartered to load nitrate at Iquique (Chile) for discharge at Auckland, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Fremantle. On her return voyage to Auckland the Union Co.'s passenger steamer Tofua is reported to have arrived at Suva from Apia at daybreak to-day. She is scheduled to clear Suva for Auckland at noon on Thursday, and is due here next Monday morning. ULIMAROA AT SYDNEY. Cabled advice from Sydney confirms the arrival there at 6.45 a.m. to-day of the Huddnrt-Parker steamer Ulimaroa, with passengers, mails and cargo from Wellington. She is to leave Sydney next Friday for Auckland, where she is due the following Tuesday. THE MAUNGANDI. En route from San Francisco to Sydney, the Union Co.'s R.M.s. Maunganui is scheduled to clear Wellington at 3 p.m. to-day. She is due at Sydney next Saturday. TAMAROA TO-MORROW. Having left Wellington at 3 p.m. yesterday, the Shaw, Savill and Albion steamer Tamaroa is due at Auckland to-morrow morning, and will berth at the Prince's wharf to complete discharge of her general cargo from London. From here she Is to go South to load, returning to Auckland on October 19 to pick up local cargo. She Is scheduled to sail finally for London from Wellington on October 30.

After discharge here she is to return to Greymouth to load for Auckland. The Wingatul is expected to leave Dunedin this afternoon for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington and Auckland. She is to load here for southern ports, sailing on October 5 for Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin, Oamaru and Timaru. The Kaiapoi is due at Auckland from South Australian ports next Sunday afternoon.
