ORIENTAL RENDEZVOUS.
A gay party was lield at the Oriental Rendezvous, Mangere, on Saturday evening, when a step dance was given by Miss M. Bo wen. The hostess, Mrs. Dando, received the guests, wearing black French crepe do chine and gold. Among those present were: Mrs. Tanner, cyclamen georgette and silver; Mrs. Bellamy, pink taffeta and gold lacs; Mrs. E. Coldicutt, blue taffeta and lace; Mrs. L. Piper, flame velvet and metal lace; Mrs. T. George, ivory georgette and silver; Mrs. J. Brown, lime shot taffeta; Mrs. G. Kay, black ring velvet; Mrs. Scotting, wine taffeta, frilled; Miss Wallace, ivory satin and tulle; Miss Bettis, sunset taffeta; Miss Eve Murray, cream crepe de chine and Spanish lace; Miss Alithia Collings, black satin and georgette and rhinestonc; Miss Jean Kirkland, cyclamen georgette and gold lace; Miss Mavis Dye, lemon satin and blue taffeta; Miss G. Teasdale, lavender georgette, sequin- . nod in cyclamen; Miss M. Bowen, lemon j silk and shawl.
