Mrs. W. G. Pountney, of Claudelands, is spending a holiday at Rotorua. Mrs. R. D. Elliott, of Wellington, has been staying in Hamilton. Miss Edminston, of Auckland, who has been on a visit to Wellington, is now visiting friends in Hamilton. Mrs. E. English, of Hamilton, is on a holiday visit to Eotorua. Miss I. Blair, of Wellington, is on a visit to Hamilton. Miss Wyatt has, returned to Hamilton from a holiday spent in New Plymouth and Feilding. Mrs. Rckl, of Tauranga, is on a visit to Mrs. G. G. L. Taylor, at Cambridge. Mrs. D. K. Dumbar, of Christchurch, has been staying in Hamilton. Miss E. Norrish has returned to Hamilton, from a visit to the Bay of Plenty. Miss A. Brown, of Cambridge, is 'on a visit to Tauranga. Mrs. J. Williams, of Claudelands, is away in Christchurch. Mrs. Ryall, of Te Kuiti, has returned home from a visit to Cambridge. Mrs. M. C. McGregor, of Hamilton, is on a visit to Taranaki. Miss Finlayson has returned to Whangarei, froia a holiday spent in Cambridge. Mrs. A. Joseph has returned to Hamilton, from a holiday spent in Australia. Mrs. Sinclair, of Hamilton, is on a holiday visit to Napier. Mrs. Vercoe, of Eotorua, has been staying in Cambridge. Mrs. P. G. Russell, of Claudelands, is on a visit to Auckland. Mrs. J. A. Young, of Claudelands, is on a visit to Wellington. Miss Speedy, of Auckland, is the guest of Mrs. Blomfield, Hamilton. Mrs. M. Simmonds has left Hamilton to reside in Tauranga. Mrs. Smart, of Hastings, is the guest of Mrs. H. Dinkley, Te Awamutu. Miss R. Souter, of Cambridge, is on a visit to Tauranga.
A bridge afternoon was given by Mrs. A. B. Meek at the Lyceum Club on Saturday. Mrs. Meek wore bronze georgette and a small brown hat. Those present were:—Mesdames J. C. Gray, A. L. Sheppard, A. H. J. Greerslade, T. F. Jolly, E. Clarke, E. H. O'Meara, H. J .McMullan, J. E. Chitty, Misses Dunne (Cambridge), Stevens, Gwynneth (Cambridge). A progressive card evening was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. Cavauigh, Ngaruawahia, i aid of the Anglican Church funds. Those present were:—Rev. P. Geary and Mrs. Geary, Mr. and Mrs. Jones, Mr. and Mrs. Wilmot, Mr. and Mrs. Joy, Mr. and Mrs. Gerring, Mr. and Mrs. Spiers, Mr. and Mrs. Rodgers, Mr. and Mrs. Christie, Mr and Mrs. Paterson, Mesdames Adams, W. Stevenson, McGruer, Fuller, Eyre, J. Cavanagh, Misses Edge, Raynor, Louden, Parrot, McKenzie, Messrs. Blewden, Rathbone, Eyre, Wilson, Spiers, Croker, Gerring, T. Paterson.
The monthly social afternoon in connection with the Te Awamutu Women's Institute was held in the Parish Hall on Thursday. The hostesses were Mrs. G. O'Brien and Mrs. McNair. An enjoyable musical programm > was contributed to by Mesdames B. Wilson, E. White, E. Hooper, F. W. Bevin, Misses L. Bray, Butterworth, Easton. The competition was won by Mrs. E. Bryant.
