EXAMINED FOR DISEASE.

NORFOLK ISLAND POTATOES. RELEASED AFTER REPORT. (By Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. Samples of potatoes brought from Norfolk Island in the Maui Pomfate were sent to the Department of Agriculture on Tuesday for examination for disease, They were forwarded to the plant research station at Palmerston North. The Minister of Agriculture, the Hon. G-. W. Forbes, stated, when interviewed to-day, that he had been advised that the examination revealed a condition justifying the release of the shipment. Arrangements tb release the shipment were made this morning.-
