Lopdell, assistant master at the Southland Technical College, has been confirmed by the Education Board in his appointment as vice-principal of the" Auckland Training College* Mr. Lopdell was selected by a special committee of advice, and the choice was subsequently endorsed by the Education Board. Mr. Lopdell will take up Ms position as soon as possible. Mr. Ed. G...Willems, export counsel to the Franklin Automobile 'Company of Syracuse, New York, will arrive -in Auckland to-morrow, and will stay at the Grand Hotel. He is visiting New Zealand to study conditions of the market with a view later to the appointing of Franklin dealers throughout the Dominion. He will be in Auckland until next Tuesday.
