HERNE BAY FIRE.

HOUSE BADLY DAMAGED. GOOD WORK BY BRIGADE. Shortly before noon to-day an unoccupied house at Lawrence Street, Heme Bay, was badly damaged by flic. The flames had a big hold when tlie brigade arrived, but the firemen quickly got control, and confined the damage to the back portion. The house was owned by Mrs. H. D. Abbott, and was insured in the South British office for a srnall amount. It was recently vacated by tenants.
