DETONATOR EXPLODES.
MAORI LOSES TAVO FINGERS. (By Telegraph. Own Correspondent.) KAITAIA, this day Bob Penney, a Maori youth, was handling a detonator yesterday evening when it exploded. Two of his fin-ers were blown off and the hand was otherwise injured.
