BRIXTON ROAD SCHOOL.

GRANT FOR DRAINAGE. RECENT VISIT BY MINISTERS. The necessity of steps being taken to prevent flooding of the lower portion of the Brixton Road school grounds was realised on a recent occasion when the Minister of Education (Hon. H. Atmore) and the Minister of Health (Hon. A. J. Stall worthy) visited thtj, school, and a promise was made by the Minister of Education that the matter would receive immediate consideration. The chairman of the Brixton Road School Committee (Mr. J. Russell) has now been advised that, a grant of £120 has been made. Ho said this morning that the committee would at once take steps to have the necessary drainage installed. The completed work would greatly improve the school playing area.
