CLAIM ON CONTRACT.

In the Magistrate's Court, before Mr. E. C. Cuttcn, S.M., Mrs. Rebecca Thomas (Mr. E. Ward) sued Harold Ccderic Osborne (Mr. Lennard) to recover £150, including £100 for not properly carrying out the specifications, and £50 for an alleged reduction of the contract price of a house built by plaintiff for defendant. A counter-claim of £18 9/0 was made for interest on a mortgage for the balance of the purchase money.

After hearing a number of witnesses, Mr. Cutten held that the claim had not been proved, and gave judgment for defendant on the counter-claim with costs.
