Owing to the lateness of the season, due to cold snaps, in the past three months, the milk supply has been retarded, and returns from the different factories in South Auckland - . >v a substantial drop compared with the same period of last season. The following payments have been made for August supply: — New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company, 1/6 per lb for both butter and cheese, first grade, with a premiumrfof 2Jd for casein and the usual premium for milk powder; Te Awamutu Co.-op. Dairy Company, 1/6 for butter; Cambridge, l/5j for butter and 1/6J for cheese; Hinuera, 1/4J for butter; Norfolk, 1/5 for cheese; Tatuanui, 1/5 for butter; Sunny Park, 1/5 both for butter and cheese; Bruntwood, -1/6 for cheese; Kakepuku, 1/6 for cheese; Tokaroa, 1/6 for cheese. These payments are below those for August of last year, when as high as 1/9 was paid for cheese.
