To whom do these girls apply when they become destitute ? Any man up against it can get a meal at the. Rev. Jasper Calder's mission, but what of the girl ? Is any place provided : for her? I would like to ask the officials of :f the Y.W.C.A. what they are doing, have done, y, or intend to do, in the matter of looking afterthese unfortunate girls? WORKER.;

[The authorities of the YiW.C.A. state that the institution has always been an "open door" for girls or women in any need whatsoever, and that no girl whose case has, upon investigation, proved to be genuine is ever turned away. For such cases free beds and breakfasts are provided, and wherever possible positions are found—Ed.]
