Tony Nalepa, aged 44, slipped off a fishing launch in Whangarei Harbour last evening and was drowned. The laun«i, a big new on?, fishing for tylr. H. of Whangarei, pet out for the heads about 6 p.m.~ It had gone 99 far as the red busy fiff Manganese Point when Nalepa slipped fell over the stern into the sea. The launph was then in mid-cbannel, half a mile frqm th« shore. Immediately Mr. Malcolm ilcLeod, the other member of the prew, heard the splash he stopped the engines qnd cruised about for some hours, but seeing Nalepa. Police parties searched for the body to-^y.
