SHOOTING IN N.S.W.
N.Z. COMPETITORS. (Received 12 noon.) SYDNEY, October 8. The Anzac rifle camp suffered in the gale yesterday, but the championship shooting was resumed this morning with matches which count for the King's prize. In the Mark Foy match, 500 yards, O'Donnell (Junee) aad Eatsou (Melbourne), tied, both scoring the possible. O'Donnell won the shoot-off. In Le Maitre match (GOO yards), the result, was:—Cole (Waverley), 1; Pinwick (Muselbrook), 2. E. M. Vennell (Masterton, New Zealand), Spencer (Moree), and Harris (Newcastle), each scored 49. Vennell took 110/. The Dangar match, 700 yards, was won by Hughes (Randwick, Sydney), 49, the runner-up being Bellinger (Victoria), 48. Vennell was 13th with 47, taking 40/.
