Ride As Rivals At Nairobi Races. DUKE ON HUNTING TRIP. (British Official Wireless.) (Received 12 noon.) RUGBY, October 8. The Prince of Wales and his brother, the Duke of Gloucester, made their last public appearance at Nairobi on Saturday. They again accepted mounts in races at the Nairobi Jockey Club's October meeting. In one race the Royal brothers rode as rivals. To-day the Duke will leava on a huntiug trip under the guidance of Captain Brook, his equerry, and Mr. William Waller, a well-known local hunter. The trip will last nearly two months and will cover the best game country of Tanganyika and Eastern Rhodesia. Lions, buffaloes, and elephants are plentiful there. The Prince of Wales to-day will begin a week's tour of the country around Nairobi. After that he will proceed to Entebbe on a visit to the Governor of Uganda, Sir W. F. Gowers. The Indian community in Nairobi was given a special opportunity of welcoming the Prince of Wales at a garden party arranged by the municipality when, with a few Europeans, there were present Indians of all classes from artisans to wealthy merchants, who warmly greeted the Prince. conversed with prominent Indians about some of the places he had visited and people he had met on his Indian tour.
The Prince also discussed questions affecting the industrial relations between the cotton growing countries and the home manufacturers. The Prince joined a party of leaders of the Indian and European communities at Earn before starting on his long motor drive to Lord Delamere's estate up country.
