V. Chilcott. • • • • The Misses 0. and R. Richards, of Christchurch, who have been the guests ,pf Miss Mona Coath, Epsom Avenue, have left on a trip to Rotorua. Lady Alice Fergusson (writes our London correspondent) contributes an article to the September issue of "Blackwood" on "Shakespeare Among the Samoans." • • • • .Nurse Sutherland, formerly of Auckland, who has been living in Europe for the last six years, chiefly in London and Paris, returned yesterday by the Niagara. » * • • Mrs. Graham Birch, who has been residing in Christchurch for some time, has returned to Auckland on an extended holiday, and is staying with her parents. • • • • Mrs. Nosworthy is leaving for Rarotonga, where she will meet the Hon. W. Nosworthy on his return from Canada. # » « Sir Walter and Lady Stringer, who have been visiting the South Island, have returned to Auckland and are at Braeburn. ••\ • » Mr. and Mrs. Buxton, who have been attending the Eucharistic Congress in Sydney, returned by the Marama this morning. • • • • Mrs. Hugh Thomson, Miss Rona Thomson, Mrs. Hill and Miss K. Horsley, all of Auckland, returned by the Marama this morning after visiting England and the Continent. * * m * Mr. and Mrs. G. Alma Baker and Miss Judy Baker, who have been spending the winter in the Malay States, have rettirned to the Dominion for their usual visit and during their stay in Auckland they will be at Hotel Cargen.
