UNITARIAN MINISTER.
REV. A. THORNHIU. DEPARTING. CALL'TO SYDNEY ACCEPTED. The Rev. Albert Thornhill, for the put nine years minister of the Ah>vi m j Unitarian Church, has accepted a call from the congregation of the Hyde Park Unitarian Church, Sydney, and will leave at the end of December to take up his new duties. Mr. Thornhill waa formerly minister of the Brookfield Church, Manchester, one of the largest Unitarian Churches in Britain, and in 1920, in the interest of the health of a member of his family, resigned and accepted the charge of the Auckland church. As a sign of the progress made during his ministry the membership of the church has increased from 90 to 200, and lately the congregation purchased a central site in Newton Road, near Upper Symonds Street, and on this a new church will be built in due courseAnnual tours kept Mr. Thornhill !■ touch with practically every the North Island, and with the aid given by an anonymous donor* cently set on foot WMdi has Stotot*- Me.
