SERIOUS OUTLOOK.

CROATIA BOYCOTTS SERBIA LONDON, September 28. A meeting of the Croat Peasant party at Zagreb, under the chairmanship of Dr. Matschek, says the Budapest correspondent of the "Daily Mail," declared a boycott against Serbia, whose alleged repressive rule is resented. The party demands a full measure of autonomy. There is uncertainty regarding the exact nature of the boycott. Apparently it is intended to apply primarily to Serbian educational and social institutions, though, according to Vienna messages, it also means the non-pay-ment of taxes and general defiance. The King of Yugoslavia is reported to have returned to Belgrade, where the new Croatian step is viewed seriously. Tension between Belgrade and Zagreb has existed ever since the Croat leader, Paul Raditch, was murdered in the Skuptsina (Parliament), in June last.
