NIAGARA IN PORT.
MARAMA TO-MORROW.
Arrivals yesterday included the Baron Inchcape from Montreal, while this morning the R.M.s. Niagara arrived from Vancouver. The Niagara is announced to resume her voyage to Sydney at 11 o'clock to-night. The Marama is due from Sydney tomorrow morning, and following her there are no overseas vessels expected at Auckland until Thursday, when the Hauraki is due from Los Angeles and the Rimutaka from London. The latter vessel 7ias passengers and mails as well as general cargo.

The Waimea arrived this morning from Gisborne and Napier, and berthed at the King's wharf. She is to"sail again at 4 p.m. to-morrow. The Katoa is expected to leave' Bluff at 4 p.m. to-day for Dunedin. Wellington. Picton and Auckland. The Waipiata loads at Dunedin about Wednesday next for Auckland, via Timaru, Lyttelton and Wellington. The Wingatui was loading at Dunedin today for Auckland, and is to leave there at 11 p.m. for Oamaru. Timaru and Lyttelton to complete. She will not now call at Wellington. The Kaimanawa was due at West port today to load for New Plymouth and Auckland. The Kaitangata. is due at West port on Wednesday-to load for Auckland, completing at Greymouth. The Kurow is to sail on Thursday for Wellington, Lyttelton. Dunedin and Timaru. The Balls Head is expected to leave Greymouth to-day for Auckland. OMANA TO SAIL. The Richardson steamer Awahou is due] from Napier, via Portland, at 10 o'clock to-nifrht, and will berth at the Central wharf. i The Mako arrived yesterday from East Coast ports, and Is to sail again at 10 p.m. to-day. The Gunbar sailed shortly after mid night for Gisborne. The Tiroa arrived from Gisborne on Saturday evening, and is to sail again at noon to-morrow. Cabled advice from Suva states that H.M.s. Veronica left there this morning for Auckland, via Tonga. En route from Sydney and Auckland, the Union Co.'s R.M.m.s. Aorangi is reported to have cleared Honolulu on Friday last for Vancouver, where she is due on October MAKURA'S CARGO. The local office of the Union Co. has received advice that the R.M.s. Makura, which left San Francisco at 2 p.m. on Wednesday for Papeete, Rarotonga, Wellington and Sydney, has a quantity of cargo for Auckland. She is due at Wellington on October NEWCASTLE LOADINGS. The Union Co.'s steamer Kawatiri was recommissioned on Saturday and dispatched for Newcastle to load for Dunedin, and the Kaiwarra is announced to sail for the same port at o p.m. to-morrow to load for Wellington. MESS-TABLE GOSSIP. Rugby teams representing H.M. Customs, the Harbour Board, Customs agencies, and shipping companies met for the Otaki Cup competition on Saturday. The shipping companies retained the trophy, beating Customs Agents in the final game. WITHIN WIRELESS RANGE. The following vessels are expected to be within range of the Auckland wireless station to-night:—Veronica, Marama, Waipahi, Hauraki, Rimutaka, Port Albany, Ulimaroa, Kawatiri. NIAGARA IN PORT. An arrival at Auckland this morning was the Union Co.'s- R.M.s. Niagara, from Vancouver, via Honolulu and Suva. She berthed at the Prince's wharf to iand local passengers, mails and cargo, and is announced to resume her voyage to Sydney at 11 o'clock to-night. HAURAKI REPORTS. A radio from the Union Co.'s motorsbip Hauraki, en route from Los Angeles, states that she expects to reach Auckland on Wednesday evening. She has lumber, case oil and general cargo from Vancouver, Ocean Falls, Powell River. San Francisco and Los Angeles for discharge here, and at Wellington, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney. MARAMA DUE TO MORROW. With passengers, mails asd cargo from Sydney, the Union Co.'s steamer Marama expects to reach Auckland at 7.30 a.m. tomorrow, according to her wireless report. She has been allotted a berth at the Central wharf, and is announced to sail on her return voyage to Sydney at 3 p.m. on Friday. GOLDEN BEAR COMING. Henderson and Macfarlane, Ltd., have received cabled advice from Los Angeles stating that the 0. and O. Line steamer Golden Bear left there on October 1 with a full cargo of lumber, case oil and general merchandise rrom Pacific Coast ports for discharge at Aucklannd, Wellington, Nelson and Lyttciron. She is due here i*n October 26.
KING EDGAR COMING. The New Zealand Shipping Companv has received advice that the motor ship* Kins Edgar cleared Panama on October 1, en route from Tampico, Mexico, to New Zealand. The vessel has a full cargo of asphalt for discbarge at Auckland. Gisborne. Napier, Dunedin, Lyttelton, Wellington, Wanganui and New Plymouth. She is scheduled to reach Auckland on October 28. The vessel is owned by the King Line, London. She was launched at the end of last year at Harland and Wolff's yard, Belfast. Her tonnage is 4536 gross. BARON TNCHCAPE DISCHARGING. V An arrival at Auckland yesterday morning was the N.Z. Shipping Co.'s chartered steamer Baron Inchcape (Captain P. Wells), ,wjth general cargo from Sydney (Cape Brpton) and Montreal. She is unloading the local portion at the Prince's wharf, and will go to Wellington, Lyttelton and Dunedin to complete discharge. The vessel sailed from Montreal on August 26, and cleared Panama on September 11. The (ifth engineer. Mr. W. Crighton. was left in hospital at Panama, suffering from severe scalds, received when he was "overhauling the steam steering gear. Fine weather prevailed until the vessel had passed Pitcairn Island, when a two days' wsterly gale was encountered. After the storm area was passed, fine weather prevailed for the remainder of the voyage.
