WASTE TOBACCO.

FOR USE AS SHEEP DIP. At the instance of Mr. H. M. Campbell, M.P. for Hawke's Bay, the Minister of Agriculture (Hon. 0. J. Hawken) had inquiries instituted into the possibilities of utilising waste tobacco for the making of sheep dip. The Minister has now advised . Mr. Campbell that it had been found that there was likely to be a considerable quantity of waste tobacco obtainable, mentioning that one company had 20001b available monthly at 28/ per cwt, f.o.r. He also quoted the formula recommended by the Board of Agriculture in England for the making of the dip.
