Of the ten horses originally entered for the Spring Handicap, the big two miles event on Saturday next, the only one not accepted for yesterday was Dillon Jluon, and his defection came as no surprise, as Mr. J. R. Corrigan's stable has Kohara engaged. Jackie Audubon is now the only one left on the limit, and he has proved a smart .pacer. He won last start in a shade , better than 4.32, aud therefore is nicely treated in being on 4.31. Talent, Dalmeny and Loch Moigh are all'on 12yds, and of the trio Dalmeny may be best. If the track happens to be wet it will take a good one to beat Tomkinson's pacer... Western King has a fine burst of speed, and has gone 4.27 1-5, so that he reads well off 4.29, but he may iiot handle the grass track at Epsom so Well as he did .the dirt at Addington. Gold Jacket is a rare stayer, and if his track work next week is favourable he will have to be considered. Machine Gun raced unsuccessfully off a 4.20 mark in August, and is now on 4.P.7, but others, too, have been let up. Kohara has not-won for some time, and Jewel Pointer, who ■ >s working brilliantly, should beat iini. Just at present the.
