DUNEDIN, this day. - Acceptances for the opening of the Dunedin Jockey Club's spring meeting next week show that owners have little fault to find with the handicaps. The McLean Stakes has attracted ten high-class two-year-olds. Graphic is one of the best ever seen on the Southland tracks. The Mosgiel Handicap has been made a trial for the New Zealand Cup, as ten of the eleven acceptors are also engaged in the big two-mile handicap on November 3. Pink Note is much improved by the race at Geraldine, and will be ridden by T. Green. The winner does not incur a penalty for the New Zealand Cup.

The Electric Handicap has drawn eleven of the best sprinters in the South Island. Coupled with Hoylake, Silver Paper has been backed to win a pot of money. Twenty maidens are entered for the Trial Plate, showing how strong the local stables are in promising hacks. The Guineas should give a good lineas to the best of the.
