ISPBING FASHIONS;AT ELLERSLIE.; ; Spring has come.' And in compliment ;td its entry, the world of. women has considered the matter and decided accordingly. It has "decided on light-weight jumper suits in hundreds of glorious shades, and crepe de chines and geoigettes that carry most intriguing patterns. The scene presented on ; the lawn at. Ellerslie to-day was a most brilliant one.. The colours of the frocks vied with the flowers for supremacy, and .made .an- attractive splash against the velvet-green grass. Away in- the distance the emerald of the hill gleamed against- a clear sky, and with all the natural beauties of the course, together with the charming models worn, it might be said that a more pleasant day has yet to be spent on the lawn. Where very light frocks were worn, they were accompanied liy wraps in tones that blended with the model underneath. Chenille jumper suits were prevalent. They ran the gamut of all shades, and looked exceedingly charming.. Lizard and crocodile skin shoes showed that they were still in favour, and-the pocketbooks took, on the line of the frock. The large hat threatens to come into its own, but the majority wore the smaller models, either, brimless or with the dipping brim.
