No demand. Danish, 190/, f .o.b. Cheese: Prices unchanged. White, 114/; coloured, 112/. Market steady. SYDNEY WOOL SALES. SYDNEY, October 4. At the Sydney -wool sales there was a in the market, and prices for all good wools showed a hardening tendency on the opening rates. Dusty and unattractive wools met with' indifferent competition. At ihd London tallow sales to-day 883 casks were offered and 64G sold. There was keen demand for good sorts. Fine muttons advanced 6d. Fine edible beef tallow fetched extreme prices, and others were 1/ dearer. Prices were: Mutton, fine; 44/6; medium, 40/6; beef, fine, 46/; medium, 40/6. AUSTRALIAN PRODUCE. SYDNEY, October 4. The following are to-day's quotations on the Sydney produce market: — Wheat.—Farmers' bagged lots at country stations, 4/; ex truck, Sydney, 4/7%. Flour—Export trade lifeless; local, £12 10/. Bran, £7; pollard, £7; oats, Tasmanian Algerian, 4/9; white, 4/3; maize, yellow, 4/6; white, 4/6; potatoes, Tassmanian, £5 10/ to £5; onions, Victorian, £10.
