ARMISTICE DAY AND ARMAMENTS.

A campaign in favour of disarmament is receiving widespread support in European countries and by the end of this year will culminate in the presentation to the Governments of many nations of petitions that will help to make the Kellogg Peace Pact operative and truly historic. I suggest that on or about Armistice Day public bodies, ntiinne churches, etc., pass a resolution such as the following: "The (name of organisation) or we, the undersigned, demands (demand) that the Government of New Zealand shall forthwith take the necessary action in conjunction with other Governments to give expression to the policy of renunciation of war by instituting measures for speedy disarmament (or, reduction of armaments)." At its annual congress at The Hague the Federation of League of Nations Societies unanimously passed a resolution urging its societies to take part in this campaign for a general reduction of the unbearable burden of armaments. Let New Zealand do its part in carrying the Kellogg Peace. Pact on to its logical and beneficent results. The present time is opportune. A. W. McMILLAX.
