On the world's money exchange market sterling has fallen in comparison to the dollar to the lowest point -of the present year, and the Bank of England's holding of gold fell £5,000,000 during the week. Several members of the transport delegation returned to Auckland from Wellington this morning all satisfied with the compromise effected, and hopeful that the new bill will be a definite step towards the solution of Auckland's transport problems.
