AUCKLAND SHAREMARKET.

, TRANSACTIONS ON 'CHANGE. Further sales were made again yesterday afternoon of shares in the Pukemiro Collieries, Ltd., at £3 10/. Preference shares of the Hikurangi Company firmed this morning to buyers at 10/, but no seller quoted. Auckland Gas sold at £1 3/2 yesterday afternoon, and British Tobacco had business at £2 3/9. At the opening call to-day buyers' gave ! 14/ for Waihi shares, and that figure was 1 again obtainable at the noon meeting. ' Hayward's Pictures are a shade firmer, sales being made at £1 0/6. Dominion Pictures are still , wanted at £1 2/, and Fullers' Pictures at £1. Wilsons Cement are wanted at £1 19/, and for preference Wellington Woollen shares £6 15/ was offered to-day. New Zealand Breweries could be got for £i 14/6, but the buyer qnoted £2 13/. War Loan 4% per cent (1939) had business at £99 this morning. New Zealand Loan and Mercantile ordinary shares advanced another £1 to-day, buyers' offering £115. P. and O. deferred stock Also firmed to buyers at £243.
