MeDougalt, McKay. .. \ ' v " —f • TAIHAPE CLUB. " k ' v 4 : . TAIHAPE, Thursday The annual meeting of the Talhape Cricket Club was held last evening, when Mr. F. W. Stringer presided over a good attendance. Prior to commencing the meeting the president requested two minutes silence as a token of respect to the late Mayor and patron of the club, Mr. A. J. Joblin, who had always shown a sympathetic Interest in the club. The Section of officers for the forthcoming season resulted : —Patron, Mr. H. F. Haden; president, Mr. F. w. stringer; vicepresidents, Meiers. A.._ W. Beale, J,, E. Hamlll, H. Daishwood and Dr. D. L. Sinclair : < secretary and treasurer, Mr. H. Bradley; delegates to association, Messrs. Bradley, Carpenter and! Hamlll: clnb captain, Dr. D. L. Sinclair; vice-captain, Mr. A. E. Glennle; committee. Messrs. ROTORUA ASSOCIATION
ROTORUA, Thursday, i The annual general .meeting-of the Rotorua Cricket Association was held at the Citizens' Club last evening,, when Mr. H. Musgrave presided over a good attendance of members. „ The balance-sheet showed a very healthy state in the finances, there being a cash credit balance of £15. . The report congratulated all members ana clubs on a very successful season. The City Cricket Club won the McLean Cup for the sixth season in succession and were also winners of the Davis bat, presented by Mr. E. Davis, of Auckland. The thanks of the association were again due to Mr. E. Davis and Mr.'E. B. Harvey for their continued sqpport, and also to Mrs Godfrey Williams for her donation of a very handsome silver cup for competition amongst the teams in the association. { With regard to the grass wickets in the Government Grounds, the association expressed Its best- thanks to Mr. Hesketh, the superintendent, for the care and attention given to same, and also to the Borough. Council for preparing a chip pitch on the Marine Parade. The election of officers resulted :—Patron, Mr. F. F. Hockly, M.P.; president. Mr. J. N. McLean vice-presidents. Messrs.
