ST. JOHN AMBULANCE.

WHANGAREI Y.M.C.A. BRANCH. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The annual inspection of the Y.M.C.A. branch of the St. John Ambulance Division, and the examination of N.C.O.'s took place yesterday afternoon. Mr. A. W. Probert, of Auckland, was the inspecting officer. He eulogised the work of the brigade and expressed the opinion that it would win most of the prizes at any demonstration in the Dominion. Tn the evening the annual dinner was held, 75 men and women being present. Tributes were paid to Dr. S. H. Ward, founder of the branch, who is responsible for the training of members.
