FORMIDABLE ATTACK.
Australia's Bowling Strength For Cricket Tests. BARDSLEY'S OPINIONS. (Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 1 p.m.) LONDON, October 3. Warren Bardsley, in an article in the "Daily Telegraph" written before he was added to the selection committee, states that the Australians have great hopes that A. Beckett will develop into another Tate. He certainly appears to have big possibilities. Blackie, who is a rare trier, is also expected to gain a place in the Test team. The fast bowlers, Gregory, Scott and Nicholls, assisted by Grimmett and Mailey, provide Australia with a most formidable attack. Only Scott's occasional slackness in the field has prevented him from taking part in past international games. Bradman and Jackson, states Bardsley, are young batsmen who are knocking at the door for international honours. The latter should go far in big cricket.
