GLEN EDEN PRESENTATION.
An occasion of considerable interest to the scholars of Glen Eden School was the farewelling of Mr. Tidmarsh, wlio was made the recipient of a leather attache case, presented by the scholars of standards V. and VI. Mr. Jones, headmaster, also, on behalf of the teaching staff, presented Mr. Tidmarsh with an Eversharp pencil. He expressed regret at losing the services of Mr. Tidmarsh and conveyed to him best wishes for success in his new position at Parnell School. Mr. Tidmarsh suitably responded.
? n * rida J evening last the Glen Eden school Committee held a fancy dress ball in the Public Hall in aid of the denta! clinic fund. Despite the inclement weather a large number of residents attended. Mr. J. Moores, who presided, introduced the dental clinic nurse, Miss Cochrane, and intimated that her seri vices were at the disposal of the child- | • Many novel characters were imi by the children. Mr. W. H Shepherd presented the prizes.
