SHEEP DOG TRIALS.
A SUBSTANTIAL DEFICIT. 'By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WHANGAREI, this day. The recent North Island championship promoted by the Whangarei County Sheep Dog Trial Club shows a loss of £72, and although the larger portion has been guaranteed by the clubs interested, this will leave the finances of the local club very strained. The deficit is partly attributable to inclement weather, which resulted in disappoining gate receipts.
