SEARCH FOR ITALIA.
'Plane, Returning, Strikes High Tension Cable.
TWO KILLED,
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) PARIS, September 30.
An Italian naval seaplane was returning from a search for the wrecked airship Italia in the Arctic when it encountered a storm as it was flying south of the Rhone, near Valence. France.
The machine struck a high tension electric cable and fell into the river. The rear cabin floated, and the two mechanics were rescued slightly injured.
The cockpit sank, and two officerand a non-epmmissioned officer were: found dead. They were either drowned] or electrocuted. 1
