END OF THE SESSION.
PROBABLY TO-MORROW WEEK
ELECTION DATE UNCERTAIN.
EITHER NOVEMBER 14 OR 21. ißy Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, this day. It is considered unlikely that the Parliamentary session will end next Saturday, since the House -of Representatives has a considerable amount of business yet to deal with. Probably Tuesday week will see the end. The date of the general election is largely dependent on the end of the session, so that if Parliament winds up its business on Tuesday week the general election will probably be held five weeks later, on Wednesday, November 14. The Prime Minister has so far declined to make a definite statement regarding the date of the election, so that this estimate is purely a guess, based on the anticipation of a five weeks' campaign. However, should a week's respite between the end of the session and the opening of the election campaign be allowed, the date of the general election would be Wednesday, November 21.
