SHOP FORCED OPEN.

LOCK BROKEN OFF DOOR. TOBACCONIST'S RANSACKED. MONEY AND GOODS STOLEN. Thieves were busy in Parncll last, night. The tobacconist's shop of Mr. Los. G. Hill, in I'arnell Jlise, near Stanley Street, was entered, the special "burglar proof" lock being forced away from the screws that held it. Money was. evidently ■what the thief was after, for he did not take a great quantity :of tobacco and cigarettes, although tho shop was well stocked. A small sum of money was stolen from the till, while goods taken from the shelves were scattered on the floor.
