Two men, in a motor car stolen from Fort • Street last niglit, were chased and caught by two other men. This morning they were sent to gaol for three months. The unemployment deputation which was to have waited on the Mayor on | Monday has been postponed, as Mr. Bail- | don will then be absent in Wellington. On examination by a diver it wa« fonnd that one propeller blade of the steauier Antonio had been stripped off. and that both the other blades were damaged. Two men in a stolen motor car drove up to and assaulted a man and his wife in Mount Eden Road last night, robbed the wife, of £5 and threatened the husband with a revolver. Otajo A. and P.
