SENTENCED TO DEATH.
(Australian and N.Z. Press Association.) (Received 2 p.m.) EDMONTON (Canada); Sept. 28. Vernon Booher, aged 19, was found guilty of shooting his mother and brother and two hired men on a Manville farm. He will be hanged on December 15. He confessed that he committed the crime because his mother "nagged him" about a sweetheart.

In the professional billiards match between Willie^Smith and Tom Newman the scores are: Smith (in play) 15,204, Newman 14,504. Smith's best break at to-day's session was 505, while Newman's total included breaks of 611, 307 and 309.
