SMART AFTERNOON FROCK.
An attractive afternoon frock of beige crepe Roma, trimmed with an pppliqucd design in blue. Note the cute pocket effect on the long sash at the side.
There was a large gathering at Scots Hall last evening when the annual law and .insurance conversazione was held.

At a- recent meeting of the JKautilii Anglican Ladies' Cuild, a presentation on her departure was -made to Mrs. 11. Biowji, who had acted as secretary of the guild for the past three years. Mrs. Hetcher in making the presentation, a bronze bowl, extended to Mrs. Brown the sincere wishes of the guild for her speedy recovery to her former health, and hoped her stay in Kotorua would be a pleasant one. Mrs. Brown suitably acknowledged in her thanks the good wishes and present -made her.
St. Sepulchre's Hall presented a. gay appearance on Thursday last when "the Ladies' Progre—i\e Alotor Cycle Club held a. most enjoyable dance.
