AUCKLAND CLUB.

SPRING MEETING, OCT. 13 AND 17. DERBY ACCEPTANCES. NOMINATIONS FOR GENERAL EVENTS. The Auckland Trotting Club's Spring Meeting, which takes place at Alexandra, l'ark on Saturday and Wednesday, Oetol>er l'{ and 17. promises to be one of the most noteworthy gatherings held at the Epsom ground at this season of the year. The final payments for the Great Northern Trotting Derby, which fell due yesterday, left 17 horses in the classic event, and that points to the probability of a strong field and a high-class contest. The general entries are up to expectations and with a good number of horses owned outside the local area, there should be some excellent racing. ACCEPTANCES. GREAT NORTHERN DERBY.
